Flower delivery to Dřísy from a Prague florist

Dřísy lies about 27 km north-east of central Prague and 8 km north of Brandýs nad Labem-Stará Boleslav. In 2025, it had 1,108 residents.

The first written record of the village dates from 1052. At that time, Prince Břetislav I gave the village to the Boleslav chapter. Dřísy has no parish church. The village has a chapel of St John the Baptist dating from 1729 and a chapel of St John of Nepomuk dating from 1837.
