Mirošovice lies about 28 km from the centre of Prague. The municipality is at the junction of the D1 motorway and the I/3 road. It had around 1,500 residents in 2025.

The first written mention of Mirošovice dates from 1250. The Prague–Benešov railway line passes through the municipality. The remains of 14th-century Ježov Castle lie within the cadastral area of Mirošovice above the confluence of Kunický potok and Mnichovka and are a cultural monument.
